Chrysocolla is a turquoise blue and green mineral found in the United States, Chile and South Africa in association with copper mines. In ancient Egypt, it was called the wise stone. It was said to make violent tempered people sensitive and tolerant. Cleopatra carried a chrysocolla with her wherever she went. This is particularly beautiful when set in silver and resembles cool water flowing through green forests.
